Have you ever gone to an estate sale or auction and wondered if that beaded bag that seems such a deal is really valuable? To be able to tell, first you need to know a little about the history of the beaded bag.
Handmade beaded bags originated about 200 years ago and have been one of the costliest bags ever due to the unique workmanship that had to go into each handbag. For example, around 1800, the price for a beaded bag was about $5.00. By the early 1900’s, European beaded bags cost about $100.00, which was a very large sum at the time. You can usually tell the age of a beaded bag based on certain indications such as the size of the beads (bags from the mid-1800’s are made with very small, fine beads - about 1,000 beads per square inch). The motifs of bags (their designs) have changed over the years.
Funeral scenes were common on beaded bags in the early 1800’s but from 1820 to about 1860, beautiful outdoor scenes, historical landmarks, and romantic interludes were depicted.
The major design scheme in these early bags consisted of 3 defined horizontal layers knitted into the bag. The bottom usually had a tassel in the middle unless the bottom was square, which usually meant that fringe would be used instead. The middle section (the largest) had illustrated scenes. The top had a pattern that complimented the entire design and usually closed with a drawstring or clasp. These beaded bags were cherished and passed down from generation to generation.
To sum up our criteria for a valuable beaded bag:
Valuable bags from the 1800’s had very small beads, usually about 1,000 per square inch.
Beaded bags from the early 1800’s usually had funeral scenes as their design but starting around 1820, outdoor scenes and romantic tryst were often used.
Bags from the 1800’s had 3 distinct horizontal knitted layers. The largest section was the middle, which had the motif design.
There was usually tassel or fringe at the bottom of the bag.

“So, one day little Gulliver went to Brobdingnag, the country of giants”; the teacher was telling the students. “Suddenly it began to rain and a huge hailstone struck him, and he disappeared to the ground.” The children stared at their teacher in wonderment.” Each time he wanted to rise up,” continued the teacher,” more hailstones sent him down. This continued till Glumdalclitch, his keeper discovered him and dug him out.” End of story. The relieved students laughed.
That ’s not a laughing matter. For that scenario some say, will soon be a possibility for the earth and its inhabitants. That means that soon we and our children would be having to duck, not hailstones, but on-coming comets from outer space. But when Asteroids — the giants ones, come calling, then the play is over.
Dinosaurs know it is not a plaything when gigantic asteroids hit the earth. Of course they are not around now to tell us the story. Geologists are, however, on hand to point out huge craters dug by falling meteors. There is one in Arizona for sightseers.
Now, asteroids don’t just dig craters. The one that hit Tunguska, Siberia ignited the forests and decimated the wild life. But that’s just a tip of the iceberg.
Let’s get on a more serious note. A suicidal asteroid could turn the earth to cinders minutes after the blast. Or, knock the earth into several pieces leaving each part to orbit to oblivion. And a benevolent one could wipe out whole cities, or nations, or continents.
The universe is a terrible place. Although there is order in the galactic formation, there are millions of periodic and non-periodic comets out there. You could tell when Halley’s comet would come, but you cannot be sure of comet Hale-Bopp.
Thank Heavens for the atmosphere. Thousands of earth-bound comets have perished there, leaving occasional flares and ashes to tell the story. But one day, one of the several wondering comets could catch us napping. Not even the best scientific wonder could stop it. One passed dangerously close the other day, and exited before anyone could say “Our Father!”
Planet earth may not be all-time lucky. It may have the fate of Jupiter. When comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 hit it, Jupiter as not knocked out of orbit, nor was it smitten to the finest particles. But two earths could comfortably fit into one of the mighty wounds of Jupiter resulting from the blow. And come to think of it. Only a few pieces of the comet hit Jupiter!
Now, suppose Shoe-maker had hit earth?
Do not shudder at that because it may be that one Kamikaze asteroid is racing toward earth at a million times the speed of light as you read this. So if we had been ducking smaller comets, we have to get set for the show down. Because even before we could get our telescopes to get a closer look, the killer comet would have done its worst. Time out!

Summertime, and the living is easy,,,
Funny how many of my newsletters or articles are inspired by music lol.
Thank goodness it is summertime (almost)! The living this summer will require a bit more of digging into our spiritual toolbox for ways to cope with the war situation and rising prices. Can we do it? You betcha!
Do we have many things to be concerned about? sure, but at least our clothing is lighter, greenery and lovely
flowers abound in most areas.

requesting to be placed on the Metaphysical Newsletter, just have them put that in the subject line. We very much appreciate you referring this newsletter to friends.
The state of affairs of our country and world indicates Lightworkers still have much work to do, for those that
aren’t Lightworkers at this time, there seems to be a huge wake up call happening even as I type.
Our Military, wherever they are stationed throughout the world (but especially in the Middle East) and also
any American Contractors abroad, need all the prayers, blessings or even a simple “keep them all safe” that you
can do several times a day. Our Government Leaders and our Country can also use prayers and/or blessings.
There is much power in unified thought, blessings and/or prayers!
What is a Spiritual Toolbox one might wonder? It is the arsenal that we build, silently, and affirm quietly, that does no harm, to ourselves, loved ones or the world. I have specific prayers of protection that I am happy to pass out, just email me for them. Every random or act of kindness,
every good deed we do, is a blessing that will return to us, either from that person, or someone we don’t even know many years later, well after we’ve forgotten all about it.
A series of affirmations can be placed in your Spiritual Toolbox, such as:
My Life and Affairs are in Divine Order
Life rewards me with abundance.
I am a Radiant Being of Light.
Add to those any affirmations that you already use that enrich your life and uplift your energy and spirit. If you aren’t using affirmations at this time, make a list for yourself; it only takes a short time of applying attention to this, and just when you need it most the *right* one will pop up in your thoughts utomatically.

Is life one big gamble, a game of chance?
Do we really possess freewill?
Two questions that require an authentic answer and are they connected in any form or manner?
The environment which we expect to find gamblers, is in a casino.
People go to a casino to place their bets on games of chance. The choice the person has is limited to the number of games being played.
For example, let’s say the casino has twenty different games of chance such as blackjack, roulette, wheel of fortune and baccarat etc.
Also; there are twenty different types of slot machines to play. The punter has freewill in choosing the way in which their money is gambled,but the freewill is limited to the games in that building. Therefore the freewill is not all that free. It cannot conjure up its own games to play. It must adhere to house rules and play what is available in that structure.
The first time, inexperienced player, will rely totally on luck and play what they believe they enjoy. Most times they will go home broke, but a few do have what is known as “beginners luck” This will set the scene to ensure they will be back for more at a later date.
As they become more experienced after many loses, they will realize that some games give better odds of winning. The more experience they become in calculating the odds of winning, the more they increase their chances of winning. Their freewill has now narrowed down the choices of game to play to one or two. They will study all the percentages of play and will start to time their bets in an organized manner. This does not ensure they will win, but it does increase the odds in their favor.
They become known as a professional gambler and many times, if they continue to win, they will be banned from most casinos. Now their freewill has no more choices, for there is no place to exercise it. It got too clever for its own good and the choices all disappeared.
What can we gleam and learn from our experience inside the casino?
Well, lets change the word casino to the word….. Earth. We all live in earths structure and have the freewill to choose all the games that nature provides. The games are designated under different categories. For example we all need food and nourishment, housing for shelter, and a means of purchasing or bartering for all our requirements that make up a wholesome, enjoyable life style. These, amongst many other games have become our wagers of opportunity.
The decisions we make will have a positive or negative outcome. We are using our freewill to place our bets on any given action. We are relying on the luck of the draw to become a winner.
The inexperience player in life’s earth games labeled….. living, will rely on finding out things for themselves. These folks have to put their hand in the fire to find out if it is really hot. The lucky ones do not get burnt the first time because they had “beginners luck” but eventually their luck runs out.
Life becomes a series of struggles that include many heavy loses. You will often hear these
people say “I want to live how I want to live and to hell with the consequence” They believe in continuing to exercise their freewill, but with no experienced guide to show them how to play the game, they are, day in and day out, on the losing side of the game, until death relieves them of their formidable, oppressive freewill.
Then there are the experienced folks in life’s game. Their views and knowledge have been carefully and meticulously accumulated throughout
their lives. Their judgments have been formulated by other people in the form of holy books or scientific finding.
The doctrines have been passed on from generation to generation, with, over time, a few added amendments that increase the narrowness of the view…Thus limiting the free will to their solitary game. They have found that playing their own personal tribes game, brings the best rewards.
They now have the odds stacked in their favor and win more often than they lose because they are in a professional group. But, along comes the boss (nature/spirit/God) and finds out they are taking more from the house than is allowed. The original point of the game was to put more back into the establishment …not take more out of its creation.
If the boss does not ban this person or organization from its structure, it will go bankrupt … So the experienced player is prohibited from that game and can no longer exercise its freewill…It has expired out of being too clever for its own good.
Some folks will call all the games we play destiny. They will say it is all predetermined, therefore freewill is of no consequence. They accept what is given to them and do not try and beat the house. If everything is prearranged then it means there are no free choices.
Well, that surmounts to fixing the games and I believe that is illegal in common law? It also may not be part of any universal natural law, for nature is both unified and random at every given
moment.
So what are we to do. Where do we place our bets. Is it destiny, is it random, is it unified, do we have to gamble with our freewill?
On the surface it seems no matter what direction we go in, we will either perish in poverty and ignorance or expire out of being too experienced, intellectual and affluent.
Well, how about we stop gambling and allow our freewill to play all the games of life in the manner they are meant to be played. This means we have to release the mind of its experiences of past dogmas and doctrines.
All the great dynasties have succumbed to annihilation and extinction….They have been banned from earths house because they became too much of an expert and thought they could break all the other banks… Over time, after much mayhem and destruction they bankrupted themselves. Therefore, we should ascertain, conjuring up our own egotistical, freewill games, is a futile, vain pursuit.
Perhaps we all need to come together in our earthly house and find out how to stop speculating and turn the earthly casino we have built through our civilization back into the Garden Of Eden that it is meant to be… Put more in than we take out.
Play the games just for the joy and love of it, with no thought of winning over anyone else.
Not taking more or less than our given share.
With the understanding that freewill has limitations within the choices nature provides for us, we can all progress and expand in a natural manner.
Life is certainly not a gamble and destiny has no benefit, nor power, over our physical lives… in its short existence on earth.
A lifetime passes by far too quickly and we cannot afford to make it a gamble or a game of chance. Every effect will have a cause and once we find the cause, we can work on releasing the effect.
To only treat the effect is pandering to the bettor, so that they continue to gamble and never get better… Whilst a few “treaters” get more powerful and a greater influential effect.
When we remove the cause of humanities ill- founded doctrines and dogmas (The gambling mind of be-lie-f systems)…Then and only then… Can we withdraw the gambles and speculations in our every day life and live with truth beyond be-lie-f.
Now, is there anyone who would care to wager it is possible do that?

Secret Number 1 - Pictures, Pictures, Pictures!
I’ve seen it a million times. Someone has a valuable item for sale but there’s not a picture to be seen anywhere in the auction description. That’s a BIG problem. People like to see what they’re buying and if you don’t post any pictures, you’re not going to be getting top-dollar for what you’re selling.
Whenever you list an item to sell, always include at least one picture. The more pictures you post, the better. There’s no such thing as too many pictures. Post as many as you can.
Secret Number 2 - End it on a Monday afternoon. It used to be that ending your auction on a Sunday night was your best bet.
