In our last installment, we talked about some tips to help start the new year off right when gambling. This is our part 2 and we have more tips for you to keep you on the right track. Tip 5: Slow play it. Not in the slow play your big pair when you know you have the nuts in a game of poker kind of way, but slow your play pace down. If you play online poker slower, not only do you not run out of money faster, but you are able to minimize the inevitable edge the house always has over you. Tip 6: Learn the games If you want to come out a winner, it’s best to learn the games that give the house the least edge. Blackjack can be learned and so can the variety of poker online games. Especially the poker games. If you can master Stud, Draw, or Hold ‘Em, then even with the house’s rake, you can beat it if you know what you’re playing. Tip 7: Learn the video poker machines. Once you get a feel for the machine (after watching for a while of course) you’ll see which machines have the best payout rate. Once you figure that out, you end up playing against strict mathematical probability rather than a machine that’s programmed to only pay out a minimal percent of the time. Tip 8: Have a good time. If you’re going to a casino solely to make money you’re doing it wrong. Sure, poker pros do it, but you’re not there to be a poker pro. You’re there to enjoy the time and have a good one at that.

When most of us learn to play online poker , we learn the riffle shuffle. This is the kind of shuffling technique where two piles of online poker cards are forced together in rapid succession. The cards are then bent upwards in a process called bridging. Again, this is the most basic shuffling technique that we learn as beginners when learning poker. Like all classic processes, there are pros and cons to the old fashioned shuffling technique. Let’s start with benefits of sticking to the basics. The riffle shuffling technique is simple to learn so everyone can master it with a bit of effort. It is also mathematically sound and does a fairly good job of mixing up the cards to the standard that you need. The problem with the riffle technique is the bridging. If the player is inexperienced in the riffling technique, it is very easy to accidently mess up and reveals the bottom card to the other players at the table. They then have an amazing advantage over the other players that did not see the cards. The solution to this problem is to just watch your angles. Make sure that you keep the cards as close to the table as possible so that there is a limited clearance. You also need to make sure that you hold the cards exactly parallel to the table at all cards. Some players accidently hold the cards at an angle. This means that there is an added chance of catching a glance. Be careful with the tried and true shuffling technique, however, and it can work for you.

Thai Lanterns are traditionally addressed Khoom Fay, made from slim down tissue paper with a bamboo frame. A flaming pod attached to the lantern offers hot airThey ascend graciously, and are an dramatic view, specially when released at constant time intervals to form a string of lighters up into the sky. Night or day they actually make an impact. For Day releases I observe that the colourful lanterns are more brilliant and the nighttime suits a ablaze white glowing Thai Lantern personal view of course but i do pride myself on being 100% all of the time.Cautiously unpack the Thai Lantern, without tearing the delicate paper. Ensure the lantern is fully extended, and not crinkled or hanging sidewise. This is best complete by holding the top of the lantern, rising it a few feet mildly, then dropping it acutely. The unit will inflate due to air pressure.Grasp the lantern upright, and have a assistant light the wick. The Lantern will being to feel lighter, then bit by bit rising. Just point it and let it go by itself, do not attempt to throw it up into the air. Then stand back and enjoy.Experienced pyrotechnic operators are whom these lanterns are meant for. Don mitts and fire-proof wear, and have on standby a bucket of water.

As a naturally impatient person, I used to grab each card as it was dealt to me and check it out before everyone got their hands, and when the flop came, I’d always scan it immediately for any sign that I’d made my hand. The problem with that strategy is that I wasn’t paying any attention whatsoever to the cards that my online poker opponents may have been holding, or their reactions to them.
When the dealer tosses out your casino online pocket cards, it’s your first opportunity to gauge your opponent’s hands. If you’re anything like me, your hands are just twitching to turn over your cards, so keep your hands off of the table until you’ve scanned each and every player’s reactions to their cards. Of course, all of your opponents will attempt to mask their reactions with a blank face, but you may be able to link some of their subtle reactions to their betting patterns and start figuring out the strength of their hands.
A lot of poker online players will go to great lengths to hide their emotions, and a lot of players have mastered the poker face, but that’s okay-you just need to find the one guy who hasn’t mastered it and take him for all he’s worth.

Though obviously big pairs are the clear favorites, and usually therefore the kinds of poker hands you want to have, when facing several opponents in a pot preflop their odds go significantly down. In a large multiway pot, even when flops come down seemingly quite benign (say, you are holding KK and the flop is 4 7 10), it can be hard to tell, in the face of certain types of aggression whether you have actually been outflopped, or if a player is aggressively betting thinking his top pair is good. In these kind of instances in poker en ligne , knowing the tendencies of your opponent is majorly key. Is the player the type willing to go broke with just one pair? Is he the kind who would reraised a bet on the flop with a set, or with an open ended draw? Having seen how you opponents deal with their hands in earlier scenarios is vital to deciding whether your big pair has gotten caught. But what about when you have little to no information about a poker player? You’ve just taken a seat and already find yourself in such a position? Here, it comes down to feel, to pot odds, and to how much you stand to lose or gainas whereas sometimes it might be worth it to lay down a hand where you aren’t sure, in others you just have to hold your breath and hope you make it through.

Often times, in the duration of a poker hand, there will come a point that you face aggression from a player acting ahead of you at the casino, with players left behind you also left to act. In these situations, the presence of the later players can be just as important to attend to as the already present action: in other words, acting in a way that may affect the players who come after you is something any online poker player must be mindful of.
This truth becomes even more obvious when in situations where you hold a hand that you may or may not want to allow further action with. A hand that is strong heads up, but not so much against several players, requires protection (unless you are willing to gamble with the possibility it could be beat in the mind of making more if you flop really big).
Isolation raising, then, is the act of reraising a bet already in front of you in order to get hands that might have come into the pot for the first bet, to lay down and let you play heads up.
A great example of this would be: say you are facing an early position raiser, who has gone all in for 4x time the BB. You find pocket jacks. Do you want to just call the original bet, and see if someone else comes into the pot? Or do you want to raise and make sure those players with hands like medium aces don’t come along, trying to break the all in player.
Most would say, with moderate hands, that raising is vital, while with hands like AA you might be interested in dragging some others along (though buyer beware!).

Whether you are striving to become a world class athlete or to simply maintain your current level of fitness, you need regular exercise. In our fast paced society, it is too easy for distractions to derail your exercise routine.
To begin or continue the habit of exercising regularly, it is important to establish a fitness goal. Your fitness goal should be challenging enough to motivate you to exercise, but not so difficult that it will discourage you. Your fitness goal should be measurable and should be tied to a calendar date.
Perhaps your fitness goal is to lose ten pounds in the next six months; perhaps your fitness goal is to run a 10K race in less than forty minutes; or perhaps your fitness goal is to bench press two hundred pounds by the end of the year. Whatever the goal, be able to measure progress toward that goal.
Keep a log book of your exercise routine as well as current progress toward your fitness goal. The log book will enable you to see tangible evidence that you are moving in the right direction; you will feel satisfaction each time you record a workout in the log.
If the fitness goal represents a significant challenge from where you are now, there are many approaches you can take, but two of the most effective ways to tackle the challenge include breaking up the fitness goal into a series of smaller goals and finding a personal trainer who can help you define a plan to get you where you want to be.
Good luck with your fitness goal. Now get out there and do it!

When I started playing poker, I didn’t worry a whole lot about reading poker players-I just played the cards I had and hoped that they would work out for the best. As I matured as a player, I made it a point to observe the other players around me and play the man more than the cards.
I was in a home game early on in my poker career and I was watching the guy across from me as he placed his chips. He had two distinct ways of pushing money in-he would either toss them in carelessly or gravely add his chips to the pot. After watching a few hands play out, I came to realize that he was acting the same way every time, and it made sense: when he acted upset he had a great hand, and when he acted cocky he was holding garbage. It was a ridiculous tell, and I was definitely going to be taking advantage of it. I could have used it all night if I hadn’t made one crucial error.
After deciding that the tell was reliable, I used it to re-raise him and buy out a pot that he was trying to bluff. As I raked in my cash, I gleefully announced that I’d read him like a book-I described his tell and how I used it to everone at the table, including the player in question. Just as I finished gloating, I realized that I just gave up my advantage-the player, now aware of his mistake, changed up his play and my tell was useless.

This year’s U.S. Presidential election is not only much analyzed here, but is being watched with anticipation all over the world.
While both Barack Obama and John McCain have laid out their respective positions on many issues, one issue they have yet to address is their stance on legalized online poker The Poker Players Alliance, the million-person-plus grassroots poker advocacy organization, posted on its Web site a letter written by Sen. Obama in response to a letter apparently from a constituent asking about his position on online poker.
A full copy of the letter is available at www.ppa.org, but the gist of his response was noncommittal at best. Obama summarized the state of current laws concerning online gambling, then wrote vaguely, “I recognize both the need to comply with federal and state laws and the desire of many Illinoisans to not have the federal government over-regulate their behavior. As opportunities to reexamine this issue arise, I will certainly keep your concerns in mind.”
As of yet, the PPA has either not sent a letter to Mr. McCain or not received a response. However, netiher candidate’s Web site mentioned any sort of platform relating to online poker and, sadly, I don’t think it will be a priority issue for either.
